The Outback Writers' Centre provides writers in the Orana region with opportunities to develop their knowledge, understanding and practice in all aspects of writing.

Our aim is to build a vibrant writing and publishing culture in the Western area of New South Wales.

Dubbo Writers' Festival

Our last Dubbo Writers' Festival was in 2024. Our co-ordinator Val Clark, after 10 years of service voluntarily running the festival, has retired. We anticipate it will be run again and will post the details at that time.
